Porcelain's living room

Porcelain's living room

Finally straightened up the living room and I thought I would take a photo of the painting Hardwood gave me for Christmas.

Our sofa is an old Nikkala from IKEA. I've had it for awhile, about 7-8 years, which isn't bad for IKEA standards. But now I am a bit tired of the red. I got it during my early 20s and now yearn for something a bit tamer and neutral. Oh and something really long to fit both Hardwood and me. Hardwood is pretty tall!

We just got a Bemz slipcover to replace the old one (our cats clawed the heck out of it). Right now I don't know why we got another red one, I think we weren't all that crazy about most of the color options. But I kind of wish we got a different color. I'm tired of this color commitment!

I'd also like to get a new coffee table. This is also from IKEA (can't remember what it is called), but the black finish makes every bit of dust, crumb, etc. etc. show up. And when we bought it, I dropped it on the corner when we were trying to put it in the car. So the corner has a dent and it is all I can see every time I look at it.

UFO table, Crayonne set and books

UFO table, Crayonne set and books

Black "UFO" coffee table, produced in (East or West ?) Germany in the 70's (or 60's?)

It is certainly not its original color ... which should be white or brown !?
The body of this table is made of "Baydur" resin and the central tray in thermoformed plastic

I have no idea who is the designer and manufacturer of this table (no label or tag),
but it is certainly not Jean Maneval for "Furniture de France" as many merchants claim wrongly !

Anyone who can prove (other than with Internet urban legends) that I am wrong is welcome !
